I had lunch with LIFEHOUSE!

Where do I begin? Today I had the most amazing opportunity to meet the band Lifehouse. I was able to bring my friend, Jolene and her mom, Darlene. To say that I was in awe of Lifehouse is an understatement.

When we got there, we had to go back into a recording studio -- the lunch was held at Ante Up Studio in Cleveland. Glenn from Q104 had us record "liners". I said "Hi, this is Alex from Norwalk. This is my music, my station -- Q104." Lifehouse got there and warmed up while we did this.

Then, we go out to the main room and we shook their hands and they played their latest hit "First Time". Then we got to ask them questions -- I asked the first one!! I asked them where they get their inspiration from. Then, they played "You and Me". Then we got autographs and pictures.

Here is the entry that made me a winner:

Hello! I would love to enter the “Win Lunch with Lifehouse” contest. I recently had a problem pregnancy and was going to the doctor’s office several times a week. A friend of mine is a huge Lifehouse fan and really helped me through the stressful situation. It never failed as I was on my way to the doctor’s each time– Lifehouse’s “First Time” was always on the radio. My pregnancy ended in a miscarriage and as my husband was speeding through town, trying to get me to the hospital, the song came on the radio. I’ve always liked Lifehouse’s music, but I felt like this song was almost a guardian angel to me. Hearing that song made me think of my friend and it was like she was there when I needed someone the most.
I would love to win this lunch and be able to take my friend along.

Thank you,

I actually told the guys about this. I don't know why, but I did. They actually looked sincere and said they were sorry. They were just soooo nice.

Today was definitely a fan-freaking-tastic day. I'm now a "super fan" :)

I'm glad you had a great time. I looked at the clock at 1:25 and realized that you were there but I was unable to turn the radio on.

Aw, thanks. I thought I looked fat :) They didn't have it on the radio, but in the post under this one I linked to the one of the DJ's blog, where he talks about it and has pictures up.

I can't begin to describe how amazing it was.
